Lepe.

Lepe lies a short distance from a stretch of Atlantic coastline in Huelva province, Andalusia, close to the Portuguese border. The town is ringed by the fields that make this part of Huelva one of Spain's main strawberry-growing areas, and the crop shapes much of the local economy and the rhythm of the year. Along the coast, the beaches of La Antilla and Islantilla stretch wide and flat, with calm Atlantic water. Boat rentals at the marinas in both resorts give access to a shoreline of coves and the wetlands further along the coast. To the east, Doñana National Park spreads across marshes and scrubland, home to flamingos, deer and rich wetland birdlife. The old town keeps a modest, working character, with small shops and bars serving the seafood landed along this coast. Spring brings strawberry blossom to the surrounding countryside, while summer fills the beaches with visitors drawn by the warm water and long light.
