Weeze.

Weeze is a small municipality in the Kleve district of the Lower Rhine, a flat landscape of meadows, old farmsteads and wide skies near the Dutch border. The village is best known for Schloss Wissen, a historic baroque castle estate set in an English-style landscape park on the banks of the Niers river. The castle complex includes a neo-Gothic chapel, converted stables now used as guesthouses, and a programme of cultural events and concerts. The estate has an agricultural operation and farm shop, giving it a distinctly living and working character rather than just a museum piece. The Lower Rhine is excellent cycling country, and the border with the Netherlands is just a short ride away. Moyland Castle, one of the finest neo-Gothic moated castles in Germany and home to a major Joseph Beuys collection, is nearby in Bedburg-Hau.
