Klink sits on the southwestern shore of Müritz Lake, the largest lake entirely within Germany, in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The water sets the rhythm of the place: sailboats and motor cruisers line the piers.
The harbor still mixes working boats with leisure craft. Flat terrain and marked trails lead through farmland and pine forest toward Müritz National Park. The wider Mecklenburg Lake District, a network of lakes linked by narrow waterways, stretches north and east from the village, and sailors and canoeists use its marina as a base for longer routes through the lakes. Small guesthouses and lakeside restaurants cluster near the water, serving regional dishes.
