Odenas.

Odenas is a wine village in the Beaujolais hills of eastern France, surrounded by vineyards that produce Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly, two of the region's crus. The village sits at the foot of Mont Brouilly, where volcanic granite and blue stone give the wines their mineral character. Rows of gamay vines cover the slopes in every direction, climbing toward the chapel that crowns the hill.

The village keeps a quiet rhythm built around the vineyard calendar. Stone farmhouses and wine cellars line narrow streets, many still run by families who have worked the same plots for generations. Walking paths cross the hillsides between Odenas and neighbouring villages, passing drystone walls and small chapels along the way.

Harvest in September brings the fields to life, while spring covers the slopes in new green growth. Local producers open their cellars for tastings through the year, and the surrounding countryside stays largely untouched by heavy tourism, keeping the attention on the vines and the slow pace of winemaking.
