Fjällbacka.

Fjällbacka sits on the Bohuslän coast, where pale granite cliffs rise straight from the water around a tight, sheltered harbour. The village grew on fishing and shipping, and its narrow streets still follow the old pattern, climbing between wooden houses painted in the region's traditional colours. Kungsklyftan, a narrow cleft splitting the rock above the main street, was used as a filming location for Ronja the Robber's Daughter and draws walkers up its stone steps. Vetteberget, the granite ridge behind the village, has routes used by climbers alongside quieter paths with views over the surrounding skerries. The Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman spent summers in Fjällbacka, and the harbour square carries her name. Crime writer Camilla Läckberg set her novels here, and the village keeps traces of that fiction in its shopfronts and guided walks. Granite islands scatter the water just offshore, their bare rock and juniper scrub typical of the Bohuslän archipelago. Seafood from local waters is sold at the harbour and served in the village's restaurants.
