Wine Tasting
El Morell sits on the flat farmland of the Camp de Tarragona, close to the city of Tarragona. Vines spread across the surrounding plain alongside olive groves that have shaped local life for generations. Small cellars in and around the village produce wine and open for tastings.
Olive oil matters just as much here. Groves ring the village, and the autumn harvest brings activity to local mills, where oil is pressed from olives grown on trees lining the fields in every direction.
The village centre is modest, with streets opening quickly onto the countryside, where tracks between vineyards and groves make for easy walking. Restaurants in and around El Morell serve Catalan country cooking built on what grows just outside town: local wine, local oil, and produce from the surrounding fields.
