Illasi is a village in the Soave wine zone, surrounded by hillside vineyards producing white wines and cherry orchards that blossom in spring. The village developed along a valley where streams flow from the Lessini mountains toward the plain. Traditional wine cellars store Soave wines, while local farms sell cherries during the brief harvest season. Stone architecture, including Romanesque churches, reflects centuries of agricultural settlement. The valley's position between mountains and plain creates a landscape of contrasts, with vines on sunny slopes and woods on higher ground.
