Teesdorf sits in the Thermenregion, a wine district south of Vienna where vineyards and spa culture sit side by side. Local wineries grow Zierfandler and Rotgipfler, grape varieties closely associated with this district, and produce full-bodied white wines with a character of their own. Growers here also tend more familiar varieties, giving the village cellars a range worth tasting beyond the regional specialties.
The village's heurigen, wine taverns run by the producers themselves, open seasonally to pour the current vintage with simple dishes such as cold cuts and fresh bread.
Vineyard rows cover the gentle hills around the village, bordered by orchards and quiet lanes between the small producers. The thermal baths the wider region is known for lie close by.
