Röschitz lies in the western Weinviertel, where low rounded hills carry vineyard rows in long curving lines across the countryside. The village is small, built around farmhouses and wine-press houses that still belong to the families who work the surrounding slopes. Grüner Veltliner is the main grape grown here, along with other white varieties common across the Weinviertel, and many growers welcome visitors into their cellars for tastings of their own wine.

The land around Röschitz is open and gentle, with vineyard slopes giving way to fields and patches of woodland. Paths for walking and cycling cross this terrain, connecting Röschitz to neighbouring wine villages. The vineyards shift colour through the year, from fresh green leaves in spring to gold and deep red before harvest.

Inside the village, old wine cellars cut into the hillside keep a steady cool temperature year-round and remain central to how wine here is made and stored. Taverns run by winemaking families serve their own vintages alongside simple regional food.
