Hennersdorf is a small wine village in Lower Austria, set among vineyards near the foothills of the Vienna Woods. Vines cover the gentle slopes around the houses, and several family-run wineries work the land around the village. Many keep small cellar rooms open for tastings.
The village follows the rhythm of the vineyard year. Spring brings new growth to the rows, summer fills them out, and the harvest draws pickers onto the slopes before the first new wine reaches the cellar tables. Local gastronomy leans on this cycle too: simple, home-style Austrian dishes are served alongside the wine.
Beyond the vineyards, paths climb toward the wooded hills, opening onto views back over Hennersdorf's rooftops and the flatter farmland further out.
