Isselburg.

Isselburg is a small town in the Borken district of the Lower Rhine, situated very close to the Dutch border in the flat landscape of the Münsterland and Lower Rhine. The town's chief attraction is Wasserburg Anholt, a privately owned Baroque moated castle that is considered one of the most beautiful and historically important in North Rhine-Westphalia. Still the seat of the Princes of Salm-Salm, the castle houses magnificent collections of paintings, furnishings, weapons and porcelain accumulated over centuries, and is surrounded by a 35-hectare landscape park with an impressive rose garden. Guided tours are available in season, and the park is open to visitors. The broader area around Isselburg is excellent cycling country, with the Dutch border and the historic Rhine towns of Emmerich and Rees just a short ride away.
